This is a trend that I encountered on a few TikTok videos and Facebook reels. It appears that some people younger than millennials have decided that the letter T should have a softer pronunciation than the sharp T sound that is traditional.

This is not a new trend. People have sporadically been overusing and misusing the word 'Literally' for most of my life. What has changed is that it has become an almost universal issue with those under 40 years of age, and a lower percentage of those above 40.
